Jo Ann’s Prayer for Today
Jan 6th, 2008 by The Princess
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
How good it is to know that there is no separation, no distance, no time nor space differential in the infinite mind of God. At times when family or friends move away, a loved one dies, one loses a job, or a precious item seems lost, we feel a sense of separation. Nothing we could ever do will separate us from the love of God that is in us. Home is where the heart is and a heart filled with loving memories is the best medicine. When our loved ones move away, they carry us in their hearts just as they live in ours. Our spiritual connection is far greater than a physical and/or geographical relocation. We can feel comforted by knowing that we are never alone, that life is eternal, that nothing is ever lost in Spirit. Our challenge is to convince ourselves of the Truth of our being. It is good to know that whatever is true for anyone of us is true for everyone of us. An old adage says, “fear knocked at the door, faith opened the door, and there was nothing there”. In the scriptures when the disciples were afraid during the storm, Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves, and there was a dead calm. So like Jesus, the great example, when we are experiencing discomfort, we can say, “peace be still” to the storms and circumstances of our lives. It is a great demonstration of faith to look fear in the face. Greater is He that is in me than that which is in the world. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy always comes in the morning. And each new day brings new opportunities for us for self realization… the realization of our God self, Its presence and Its power. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. And so it is.
Amen
