Prosperity's 12 Affirmations

Let’s see how we could play the Wouldn’t It Be Nice Game using Prosperity’s 2^nd Affirmation, “I create images of prosperity, abundance and wealth”. Previously I used the example of listing each Wouldn’t It Be Nice (WIBN) question. Today I think I’ll you a paragraph format instead of a list format.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the only images I created prospered everyone with whom I communicated? Wouldn’t it be nice if I could look at what seems like a disaster and create an image of potential and possibility. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could perfectly reproduce the perfect images of perfection in my mind and perfectly project the images into the physical world?  Wouldn’t it be nice if every image I create were in integrity with the Image of God in which we are made? Wouldn’t it be nice if my image of my prospering community fit in with the emerging image of our prospering nation? Wouldn’t it be nice if the diverse economic and political images projected in the U. S. morphed into a workable vision of abundance and prosperity?

What WIBN questions can you list in the comments? You may be surprised at the high quality images you will create as you play the game. Each mental image you create has the possibility of an image that could manifest as your experience. Wouldn’t it be nice if you created an image of the new house you will be living in by the end of 2009? Wouldn’t it be nice if the image of your reconciliation with your estranged brother or sister became a reality by July 4^th 2009? Wouldn’t it be nice if you just had fun relaxing while you allowed your powerful imagination to create the circumstances you would love to experience?

I have been focusing the last couple of blog posts on the Wouldn’t It Be Nice game found in the book, Ask And It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks. As I mentioned before, it is best to play the game if you are feeling good and want to feel better or if you notice that you may getting anxious about an outcome you desire and you want to keep your energy positive as you look forward to experiencing your desire.

Today Let’s set the intention to use the game to help internalize the power of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. It is possible that as you work with the affirmations, you may not yet be resonating with all 12. Playing this game is a pleasant, stress free way to highly energize any given affirmation into your unconscious thinking.

Let’s look at how it might look to play the game using Prosperity’s 1^st Affirmation, “I look to God as my only Source of wealth and supply”.

1. Wouldn’t it be nice if whenever I need anything, I first look to God to fulfill my need?
2. Wouldn’t it be nice if I instinctively knew how to ask God to meet my needs and my desires?
3. Wouldn’t it be nice if God gave me ideas pay to pay off all my bills easily and effortlessly?
4. Wouldn’t it be nice if I looked to God with my first thought rather than as my last resort?
5. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were someone in my life who reminded me to look to God first when I am feeling deprived or limited?
6. Wouldn’t it be nice if divinely inspired enriching ideas came to me in my dreams at night and I acted on them the next morning?
7. etc.

In this example I listed what I thought would be nice ways for me develop the habit of always looking to God as the Source of my wealth instead of looking to jobs, employers, financial institutions, lotteries or other people, places or institutions. The money or other resources we need can come through any of these or other channels but as we internalize Prosperity’s 1^st Affirmation we look first to God making it easy to see or be guided to the most appropriate channel for the effortless delivery of what we want or need.

When you are experiencing good feelings, you are more attractive than you are when you are experiencing negative feelings. One way to create good feelings is to play the “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” game. This is a good game to play if you are feeling pretty good and you want to feel even better or if you feel yourself becoming negative or fearful and you want to move your feelings in a more positive direction. To play the game you would complete the phrase, “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” For example you might say, “Wouldn’t it be nice if Uncle Harry and I got along fabulously during the holidays?” You could follow that question with “Wouldn’t it be nice if I learned something new and interesting about Uncle Harry?” The idea is to consider how you would feel if certain conditions became true. The beauty of this game is that it is gentle and easy to accept. You are allowing yourself to consider the possibility and feel the feelings that accompany that. If you were to say, “I will sit down with Uncle Harry and have a good time”. Your judgmental mind could become engaged and offer a long list of reasons why you couldn’t do it and why Uncle Harry wouldn’t allow it. The idea here is to be gentle with yourself and feel the feelings associated with what you want.

Create a scenario to play from now until the end of the year. What would you like to experience that has been eluding you until now? Let’s say you want to take a mini-vacation and you can not seem to find the time. Your game might look like this: “Wouldn’t it be nice If I finished all my work this week and we could take a short vacation next week? Wouldn’t be nice if we could get reservations at the Elite Resort? Wouldn’t it be nice to swim in their indoor-outdoor pool? Wouldn’t it be nice to be away from the phone and e-mail for a few days? Wouldn’t it be nice to be totally relaxed? Wouldn’t it be nice if…”

I hope you get the idea of the game and can sense the positive feelings that playing the game generates. Keep in mind the title of the first section of Chapter 21 in Ask And It is Given “You are only 17 seconds away from 68 seconds to fulfillment”. That is to say if you focus on an idea, image or concept for 17 seconds, you activate a matching vibration. If you can manage to stay focused on the thought or feeling of experiencing what you desire for 68 seconds, you will have created a powerful enough vibration to initiate the manifestation of your desire.

Spend the next day or two playing the Wouldn’t It Be Nice Game for at least a couple of minutes and see what you can attract into your life. I learned the “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” game while reading the book Ask and It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks. If you participated in the 12 week program, “Living an Affirmative Life Using Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations”, you used Ask and It Is Given as one of the required texts. During that program we used many of the games described in Ask and It Is Given to help create an energetic alignment with the individual prosperity affirmations. You can see the games recommended for the respective affirmations by reviewing the affirmations listed in the Categories portion of the right side panel. 

One of the games that was not used with any of the individual affirmations in the “Living an Affirmative Life” program was the “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” game. It is good to play the game if you are feeling pretty good and you want to feel even better or if you feel yourself becoming negative or fearful and you want to move your feelings in a more positive direction. I believe it is an excellent game to play during the early stages of internalizing Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. If you are having any resistance to fully resonating with any of the 12 affirmations, approaching the affirmation in the context of the “Wouldn’t It Be Nice Game” will help you ‘ease’ into the energy of the affirmation that may be offering resistance.

My first thought was to post this prayer in the Prayer for Prospering Times blog. However, I also decided to post it here because it has its roots in Prosperity’s 3rd Affirmation, “I Only Speak Words that Affirm Prosperity, Abundance and Wealth” and Prosperity’s 9th Affirmation,“I Honor, Glorify and Give Witness to the Truth about the Accessibility of the Source of My Wealth”.

Both of these affirmations affirm the power of speaking the truth. Prosperity’s 3rd Affirmation is based on the 3rd Commandment which commands that we not use God’s name inappropriately. When we speak in a way that proclaims lack and poverty as the truth of being, particularly when we associate them with “I am”, we are speaking against the nature of Spirit. When we are speaking the truth about prosperity and our access to God as the Source of prosperity we are proclaiming the Truth about God and the nature of God which is prosperity.  Consider, Is the ocean a source of water or is it water? Does it make a difference in our thinking? We know that we can get water from the ocean. In either case the ocean is a physically accessible place where water is available. The actual source of water is probably more related to the principles involved in the combination of Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms in the proper proportions and conditions. Likewise the Source of Prosperity is more aligned with the laws and principles of being, thinking and acting. The point is that when we speak of prosperity or scarcity, we speak based on our belief in the accessibility of Prosperity. Prosperity is at hand and accessible through prayer, our connection with God. When we know that God is Prosperity and that God is accessible to God’s creation, we have embodied Prosperity’s 3rd Affirmation and we can confidently affirm the 9th.

Prosperity’s 9th Affirmation is based on the principle that we speak the truth and not bear false witness against our neighbor. This includes stating the truth that our neighbor has access to God’s bounty just as we do. When we verbally agree with another person’s proclamation of poverty for himself or others we are bearing false witness against him. It takes clarity and confidence in your own experience of prosperity before you can speak with authority to another about his or her true relationship with prosperity. If you feel you must verbally be non-committal, be assured that you can silently affirm prosperity for yourself and the person until you are empowered to inspire yourself and the other person with the right words to bless him or her with the truth about their access to prosperity.

Let Us Pray:

Our Father who dwells within the most intimate recesses of my mind, body and soul, I acknowledge Your power to heal, bless and prosper any situation or circumstance. I thank You, Father, for blessing me and those I love and I thank You for blessing everyone of whom I am conscious now or in the future. I accept Your blessings and I extend Your abundant blessings to others. With restored faith and renewed courage, I speak of Your love and prospering power. I speak of abundance and I deny lack. I am comfortable at the expanding boundaries of my experience of prosperity. Even though I may yet not see the abundance before me, I have faith that You are leading me to it and drawing it to me. I am prosperous! I am surrounded by abundance! And All Is Well!

On Wednesday November 19, 2008 at 8:00 PM EST we will be presenting the first four of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. This is the first time that I have presented a teleseminar devoted to Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. The Wednesday night teleseminar is the first in a series of 3. We will review 4 affirmations each week for 3 weeks. I have had a lot of response to Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations and this will give me an opportunity to address some questions that people have asked.

The first 4 affirmations focus on our relationship to God and prosperity. Which makes them ideal for beginning a spiritual approach to prosperity. What does it mean to you to look to God as the Source of your wealth? How is God represented in your mental images? Imagination plays an important role in each of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. In fact a person’s imagination profoundly affects his or her quality of life. For the most part we experience what we imagine. And we imagine much more than our conscious thinking would have us believe. It is for this reason that I think the regular practice of Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation is vitally important. When we repeat and seek to internalize the essence of this affirmation, "I Only Create Images of Prosperity, Abundance and Wealth", we are setting a conscious intention regarding how we are using our image creating faculty.  As we practice the 2nd affirmation, we will begin to notice more opportunities which line up with the things and experiences we desire. We begin to feel more a part of Life and less like we have to contend with Life to get what we need and want. In formulating clear images of how we feel and behave when our dreams are fulfilled, our desires realized and our needs are met, we see ourselves involved in activities and with people having a powerfully positive impact on their lives and their communities.  Effortlessly we are drawn into circumstances that enrich and enliven us. Over the next 7 days, each day consciously see yourself smiling, looking as though your are enjoying life. See yourself using the things you desire but are not yet part of your physical reality. See yourself making a difference and interacting with people with similar interests working harmoniously with you. Let your imagination run wild with images that make you feel good.  Allow every good idea that springs into your mind the opportunity to conjure powerful images of prosperity and well being for you and everyone you influence. Your ideas are the opportunities knocking on the door of your imagination.

Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation is, “I Look to God as my Only Source of Wealth and Supply”. Today I am reminded of some important implications of this affirmation. The first implication is that if I begin to believe that temporal, physical or human institutions are sources of my wealth, supply or well being, I am inviting myself to suffer or at the very least experience disappointment and disillusionment. This is a matter of faith. The materialist must place her faith in what she can see, feel and touch because she can not trust what is not available to her physical senses. To be able to trust God and look to God as your only Source of wealth, you will need to cultivate your mental and spiritual faculties such as intuition, imagination and faith.  This is an evolutionary process which begins as soon as you set the intention to expand your spiritual nature. Rev. Diane Harmony provides some very practical ideas about setting and manifesting intentions in her book and course, 5 GIFTS for Living An Abundant Life.

The second implication is that the spiritually oriented person will look to God in prayer, meditation and conversation, fully receptive, to ideas, images, associations and feelings which will guide her to actions, choices and decisions which will enrich her and others. God’s guidance to wealth and supply will never harm another or the person being guided, to paraphrase Romans 8:28, all of God’s activities work together for the Good of the people who appreciate the nature of Spirit and are moved to activation by the prompting of Spirit.

The third  implication is that the man or woman who begin his or her financial or money activities (actually any activity) by looking to God first, create powerful possibilities of financial increase which surpass his or her original intent.

Today I want to embody Prosperity’s 5th Affirmation and introduce the 5th Affirmation for Forgiveness.  Yesterday I had a very provocative conversation with a long time friend about how Life is occurring for him presently.  That conversation has motivated this post. In retrospect, I would liked to have told him about the energy of Prosperity’s 5th Affirmation, “I Maintain My Highest Integrity When Connecting with God and Interacting with God’s Agents of My Wealth“. As we resonate with this energy, we realize that God is active within us and within the other people we encounter. In this context, we practice Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation by looking to God as our only Source of wealth and supply. We then begin to realize that the channels through which our Source supplies us are primarily other people, who like us, are spiritual beings having human experiences. Therefore, I believe it is empowering to view the people we encounter as agents of our prosperity and well being. We are empowered and enriched; and so are the people to whom we relate as though they were agents of our prosperity. As a 5 GIFTS Spiritual Prosperity Coach, I intend all of my relationships to be characterized by the exchange of gifts, gifts of the spirit, as well as material gifts. So I see myself and the people with whom I interact as God’s gift givers or wealth agents.

When we relate to others with distrust or the idea that the other person wants to take something from us, we have the experience of depletion and increased stress. This can show up for us as a decreasing stock portfolio, home foreclosure, physical discomfort or disease. How is your relationship with other people showing up in your life? What is the impact of your relationship with God? What are feeling or experiencing now?

You may also want to consider the 5th Affirmation of Forgiveness as a way of deepening a mutually supportive relationship with God and humanity. The 5th Affirmation of Forgiveness, “I Honor God and the People in My Life by Sensing their Innate Divinity”.

I may not have the opportunity to share these exact words with my friend but I do intend to resonate with the energy that allows me to be an agent of his prosperity and to connect with the God Energy that indwells him.

It has been a long time since I made a blog post here. My original intention was to use this blog as a resource for my live classes and workshops, “Living an Affirmative Life (Using Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations)” and “Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations”. Occasionally something would come to my attention which I thought relevant to Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations and I would post it here. However,today I have decided that I would post here, if not daily, at least 4 times per week for the next 2 weeks. You may hold me accountable. There are 2 reasons for this 1) I want your help as I clarify my ideas for taking Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations to the next level and 2) I want to make this blog more of a resource to the people who are taking the e-course “Introduction to Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations”
