I was recently asked where did I find Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations. This is a short description of how it came into being.
In 2006 I created a workshop after reading Rev. Georgiana Tree West’s book Prosperity’s 10 Commandments for about the fourth time. Each time I read Rev. West’s book, I got a new insight about prosperity. The reason I developed the workshop is that I wanted to make prosperity a real and growing experience in my own life. And I wanted to demonstrate the practicality of applying spiritual principle. I have been a student of spirituality and prosperity for many years I had already experienced the transformative effects of spiritual and mental practices such as tithing and creative visualization. I was ready to expand my experience of prosperity yet again. I was impressed by the idea of applying the Truth found in the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17) to the expansion of prosperity. During the development of the workshop I realized that to practice the commandments of prosperity I would need to affirm their essence consistently and the best way I knew how to do that at the time was by using affirmations. At some point during the development process, I felt guided to include Jesus’ commandments from Matthew (22:37-39). As a result, instead of 10 affirmations of prosperity, I had 12 affirmations with the final two summarizing the essence of the 1st ten. Now, I share these ideas in my workshop Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations, the course Living an Affirmative Life (Using Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations) and most recently this blog Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations.
