Prosperity’s 12th Affirmation

Jesus’ Commandment –

Matthew 22:39 “A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’.”

Commentary

The Truth of this commandment, put in the context of prosperity, can be applied to attitude about another’s wealth. Leviticus 19:34 directs that we should treat a stranger among us as one native born and love him or her as we love ourselves. The scripture from Leviticus is one of the scriptures Jesus referenced when asked, “What is the greatest commandment?” Therefore, we can infer the importance of understanding our oneness with one another and loving each other as we love ourselves. As we affirm this Prosperity Truth, we act on it by appreciating others and their wealth.

We also can forgive others for the perceived misuse of their wealth and trust that the omnipotence of the Holy Spirit will direct the flow of all wealth according to the Truth of Prosperity’s 7^th Affirmation, “I Use My Wealth for Creative, Uplifting, Enlightening, Joyful, and Life Affirming Purposes”.

Prosperity’s 12^th Affirmation, in effect, incorporates Affirmations 5 through 10. If we fail to live the spirit of any of the affirmations 5 through 10 we are incomplete in our practice of affirmation 12.

Conversely, if we fully embody affirmation 12, we have integrity with affirmations 5 through 10.

Notice how The Mosaic 10^th Commandment and Prosperity’s 10^th Commandment have a foundational relationship with the commandments which precede them.

In like manner Prosperity’s 11^th and 12^th Affirmations summarize and include Prosperity’s 1^st through 4^th affirmations and 5^th through 10^th affirmations respectively.

Affirmation 11 Summary

I Love the Source of My Wealth with All of My Heart, All of My Mind and All of My Soul.
Prosperity’s 11th Affirmation

Jesus’ Commandment 1
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Commentary
When Jesus was asked, “Which is the greatest commandment?” he sited passages from Leviticus 19:34 and Deuteronomy 6:5. Jesus’ first commandment is to love God with all of our loving faculties. This affirmation is closely aligned with the first Mosaic Commandment. By affirming the first commandment persistently, we have formed, or are forming, the habit of looking to God to supply our needs, material and non-material.

As we affirm our love for God, the Source of everything, we establish a personal relationship with God as Source. We develop a feeling of appreciation for everything that comes into our life because we know and feel that it comes as the result of love. God is Love and prosperity is a manifestation of Love, therefore when we look to God, feeling love and appreciation, we receive the loving desires of our heart, even if we have not consciously asked for anything. Therefore let us set the intention to experience God with the feelings of our heart; to know God with every aspect of our mind, our intellect, reason and wisdom and to be one with God in the incomprehensible depths of our soul. It is this soul communion with God that we want most to cultivate, because it is at this level that we are being most like God.

God is Spirit and the animating Presence of our soul is Spirit. So, the loving of God with all of our Soul is accomplished by releasing the sense of thinking, the sensation of feeling and resting quietly in the presence of Pure Being. The practice and experience of this affirmation incorporates the essence of the first 4 Mosaic Commandments.

Vibrational Alignment
Use Process #1 “Rampage of Appreciation” from Ask and It Is Given to feel the receiving and giving of the Love of God.

Process #8 “The Book of Positive Aspects” will help you bring forth the appreciation that resides within you and can be expressed as Love.

Repeat: “I love God and God Loves me”

My Vision of a Day in an Affirmative Life

Today, I look to God as my only source of supply. I create vivid images of my prosperity as I envision myself in a prospering environment. I speak words of abundance and prosperity and the power of my word manifests prosperity in my life and the lives of those to whom I speak.

Centered in God, I am creating empowering, prospering images and words, I relax and faithfully surrender the details of my wealth creation to God. I pray with integrity and I am honorable in my dealings with other people. I wisely circulate my wealth, both tangible and intangible. I freely give the prospering word and use my money to express God and do God’s work. I invest in the evolution of humanity, especially myself. I am giving fair compensation for value received.

I joyfully and generously demonstrate my appreciation for all that I receive today. I know the Truth about God as the Source of all wealth, especially the wealth I experience. I am forthright in telling the Truth about God as the Source of wealth in me and everyone I encounter. I claim and give thanks for my own wealth and rejoice in the wealth of others.

Affirmation 10 Summary

I Claim My Own Wealth and Give Thanks for The Wealth of Others.

Prosperity’s 10th Affirmation

Operative Faculties – Power, Strength

Prosperity Commandment –

You shall not limit yourself by coveting that which is another’s; you shall claim your own.

Mosaic Commandment –

Exodus 20:17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Commentary-

The focus of this commandment is inward. Here we give attention to our inner attitudes that cause the outer effects in our relationships and circumstances. Whenever we have a desire that we try to fulfill by inappropriately seizing something that is not ours, in the sense that it is serving the good of another, we are failing to look to God as our only Source of supply.

“Every covetous thought is fundamentally a belief that there is not enough to go around”^{^[1]}

We eliminate our own limitation when we rejoice in the wealth of others, knowing that God is the Source of their wealth as well as ours.

“Unfortunately, many people think that the uncomfortable feeling of wanting something they do not expect to experience is what the feeling of desire is; they no longer recognize the feeling of pure desire as that fresh, eager, feeling of expectancy that they knew when they were younger”.^{^[2]}

When we place our attention on the expansion of our own wealth instead of worrying about what our neighbor has and we trust God’s power to provide for us and our neighbor, we are practicing Prosperity’s 10th Affirmation: “I claim my own wealth and give thanks for the wealth of others”.

Affirmation 9 Summary

I Honor, Glorify and Give Witness to the Truth about the Source of My Wealth.

Prosperity’s 9^th Affirmation

Operative Faculties – Zeal, Renunciation and Wisdom

Prosperity Commandment – Nine

You shall not bear false witness against the source of your wealth.

Mosaic Commandment

Exodus 20:16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor”.

Commentary

I testify to the Truth about the Source of my wealth. I deny the power of poverty and lack and I affirm the natural abundance, which characterizes the nature of the Source of my wealth, God the omnipresent.

When I have internalized the Truth of God as my only Source of Supply, I am eager to testify about God’s Abundance being available everywhere God is. Since God is everywhere, therefore present within everyone, abundance is available to all. I help people recognize this truth by affirming abundance and prosperity and denying the reality of lack and poverty.

I cease my support of poverty thinking. I hold thoughts of plenty when others misuse their “I AM” by identifying with poverty instead of prosperity. I affirm health and healing when confronted with the appearance of sickness or disease.

I allow Spirit to guide me in the expression of my affirmations and denials so that I fulfill my intention of raising the race consciousness to one of abundance. I engage my faculties of Zeal and Wisdom to give witness to God’s prospering presence within us and around us. I renounce the appearance of everything adverse to God’s nature of perfection. I use this affirmation in specific instances when I feel personal lack in myself or someone else and I affirm God’s presence and enriching activity globally. God’s universal presence is healing humanity, restoring peace and raising the planetary consciousness.

Vibrational Alignment

Process #1 “Rampage of Appreciation” from Ask and It Is Given. Be sure to review the scale of emotions on page 114. In this process you are establishing a potent vibration of gratitude and appreciation that will sustain you in the perceiving and expressing greater abundance.

Process #8 “Book of Positive Aspects” from Ask and It Is Given In this process you heighten your ability to experience appreciation.

Process #13 “Which Thought Feels Better?” from Ask and It Is Given. In this process you will find thoughts that feel better and thus raise your vibration to a higher level. With higher vibrational offerings your experiences of Well Being are quickened and expanded; you become an authentic spokesperson for the delight and satisfaction of affirming the Truth about the Source of All that IS.

Process #17 “The Focus Wheel Process” from Ask and It Is Given. As in process #13 this process helps you lift your vibration to a level that brings relief and moves you toward joy and empowerment.

Create a Gratitude Journal: List 5 things per day for which you are grateful.

When you look for opportunities to thank God, you will find them. Gratitude and appreciation are among the highest vibrational states you can experience and you will find yourself automatically speaking and behaving in ways that give testimony to the Truth about the Source of our wealth and supply. You will affirm God’s constant activity in your life and the lives of those you touch.

Further Consideration of Prosperity’s 8th Commandment

Georgiana Tree West’s discussion of Prosperity’s 8th Commandment implies an important question (page 103 of Prosperity’s 10 Commandments) that is important for each of us. In essence the question is “Why do upright people endeavoring to live constructive, creative lives often experience lack?”. The answer to this question can allow us to experience, individually or collectively, new levels of prosperity, regardless of how much or how little we experience now.

The answer resides in consciousness. Our manifestation, in our health, our affairs and our wealth is the result of our consciousness or in the vocabulary of the Abraham-Hicks teachings, our vibrational offering.

Therefore we must objectively consider what is characterizing our consciousness if we are not creating the experiences and the things we want and ask for. Consider this quote from the chapter on Prosperity’s 8th Commandment in Prosperity’s 10 Commandments. “The earnestly stirving person whose efforts are not richly compensated may have a poverty consciousness. This is by far the most common reason for inadequate returns for conscientious endeavor. The mind that is filled with fear of lack, acceptance of lack, or rebellion against circumstances is, for the time being, failing to collect the just compensation due in this outer realm of cause and effect. Since nothing is ever lost, such persons will reap the benefit of every effort they make when they have freed their minds from the poverty complex”.

Compare Mrs. West’s quote with the Abraham-Hicks quote from Ask and It is Given, “Your habit of resistant thought is the only thing that ever keeps you from allowing the things you desire. And although you certainly did not intentionally develop these resistant patterns of thought, you did pick them up along your physical trail, bit by bit and experience by experience. But one thing is very clear: If you do not do something that causes a different vibrational offering, then nothing in your experience can change”.

1) How can you apply the truth contained in these two quotes to your life right now? 2) How would you envision the application of this truth as an expansion of the prospertiy of any group or organization about which you care?
