Prosperity's 12 Affirmations

This is the 3rd month of the year and time to review Prosperity’s 3rd Affirmation, “I Only Speak Words that Affirm Prosperity, Abundance and Wealth”. As we repeat and practice this affirmation, we realize that the words we choose to speak have manifesting power in them. However, what is not always clear is that what manifests is born of our intentions and the meaning we have given to the words we speak and not necessarily the commonly agreed upon meaning of the words, such as what may be found in a dictionary. Before going on, I want to point out that the commonly agreed upon meaning of words is extremely important to the communication process; I am not suggesting that we take on redefining words to use in our affirmations. My point is that we examine our intent and our understanding of the idea that the word or words express. Are we clear about what we are affirming? In this case we are affirming that we consciously speak words that support our prosperity and the prosperity of others. We temper our concerns about what may appear as lack or limitation with our believe in the possibility of the current appearance being temporary and that it will soon be replaced with our experience of prosperity.

In keeping with this month’s focus on Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation, “I Create Mental Images of Prosperity, Abundance and Wealth”, I want to discuss ‘Visualization’ and ‘Visioning’. Several years ago when I began to articulate Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations; without realizing it, I was looking at the 2nd affirmation from the perspective of visualization. In fact, I still use the affirmation to bring forth images of things and circumstances I desire or prefer. However, over the last year, I am experiencing a new and profound relationship with the 2nd affirmation. This relationship is centered in the process of visioning, distinct from visualization. When I approach the use of the affirmation from the perspective of visioning, I enter a state of surrender and receptivity to the images and stirrings coming forth my Higher Consciousness or God-Self. In effect I ask God to reveal to me images, insights and guidance which are of my Highest Good and I wait for images and intuitive nudges to coalesce in my consciousness and feeling nature. By doing this regularly, clear images and guidance come to me which are richer and more fulfilling than many of my visualizations of past desires.  My friend and Spiritual Marketing Teacher, Rai Jordan (http://www.highervisioncenter.com) has often mentioned how her personal and business life have been blessed with unexpected success since she chose to make visioning a key part of her life. This year I have made a commitment to myself and the people in my consciousness community to explore visioning in depth. As a result I plan to conduct monthly visioning calls.

I was recently talking with a very good friend when one of us mentioned, “I haven’t daydreamed since I was a fairly young child”. We both realized that as we progressed in school as children, not only were we not encouraged to daydream, often we were forbidden to daydream. I realized then that in some ways that devalued my tendency to imagine the future I really wanted. I now realize that placing regular attention on Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation is a good way to systematically practice visualization and experiment with the idea that we expand our experience of ideas upon which we place our attention. Here is an amplified version of Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation which adds the creative power of the I AM consciousness, “I am receptive to God’s Vision of my success; I create mental images of prosperity, abundance and wealth resonant with God’s Vision of my Highest Good”.

This month I plan to explore more concerning Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation. I hope you choose to make this exploration with me.

Now is the perfect time for us to set and live into an intention of prosperity for the remainder of this year. We can do so by considering and internalizing Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation, “I look to God as my only Source of Supply”. We add power to this affirmation as we consider the Truth of who we are, sons and daughters of God. We are individualized expressions of Spirit. In essence we are unique reflections of the rich omnipresent substance of the Universe. Holding this in mind, we look to God for the satisfaction of our needs and the fulfillment of our desires. As we look to God our only Source of Supply, we will hear with inner ears, see with inner eyes and be guided to outer circumstances which will sustain, bless and enrich us in ways that surpass our expectations and confer blessings on the world which expand our experience of God’s infinite possibilities.

Let’s Pray:
Our Father, Author of every blessing, I thank You for all of the possibilities of this present moment. Dear Lord, I see You as my only Source of Supply in all of Its forms including ideas, relationships, money and so much more. I recognize my oneness with You and thereby my fellow human beings as Pure Spirit. We are unique manifestations of Your all-providing Substance with the capacity to choose to look to You for wisdom and substance or to be seduced by the illusions of the world. In this holy moment Father, I choose to seek Your Presence and Your Guidance in every moment, in every place and with everyone. I look to You Father as my only Source, confident that You guide me to optimal circumstances, rich relationships and Soul satisfying experiences. I see everyone with whom I interact as an agent of my well being and I see myself as an agent of blessing for them as well. Father You are my one Source and You are constantly creating innumerable channels through which I receive my Good!

For the past several months I have been focusing on the 10 Statements of Principle in John Randolph Price’s The Abundance Book. I often stop to consider relationships between Price’s Statements of Principle and one or more of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations.

The 9th Principle is “When I am aware of the God-Self within me as my total fulfillment, I am totally fulfilled. I am now aware of this Truth. I have found the secret of life, and I relax in the knowledge that the Activity of Divine Abundance is eternally operating in my life. I simply have to be aware of the flow, the radiation of that Creative Energy, which is continuously, easily and effortlessly pouring forth form my Divine Consciousness. I am now aware. I am now in the flow“.

Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation is “I look to God as my only Source of wealth and supply“

Recently I have found that coupling a statement of being with each of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations, increases their potency for me. Therefore today, my intention to embody the 9th Statement of Principle and Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation is expressed in the following affirmation:

“I am aware of the Activity of Divine Abundance within me operating in my life and my affairs today, and I continue to look to God within me as my only Source of Supply in all of Its forms, including money and favorable conditions”.

Contemplate and Practice Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation:
“I look to God as my only Source of Wealth and Supply”
On this day _______, I now see God as my only Source of wealth and supply in my life. My employer, investments, businesses, banks, gifts and the like are only channels of wealth coming from God. I am God’s grateful Child and I am heir to all that my Father has. I look only to God to satisfy my needs. Read, digest and and meditate upon the following excerpt from The Abundance Book by John Randolph Price (page 28).

“I cease believing in visible money as my supply and my support and I view the world of effect as it truly is… simply and out-picturing of my former beliefs. I believed in the power of money, therefore I surrendered my God-given power and authority to an objectified belief. I believed in the possibility of lack, thus causing a separation in consciousness from the Source of my supply. I believed in mortal man and carnal conditions, and through this faith gave man and conditions power over me. I believed in the mortal illusion created by the collective consciousness of error thoughts, and in doing so, I have limited the Unlimited. No more! This day I renounce my so-called humanhood and claim my divine inheritance as a Be-ing of God. This day I acknowledge God and only God as my substance, my supply and my support”.

Use the following for the next 7 days to internalize the benefits of Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation. Take 5 to 10 minutes daily giving the 5 GIFTS of Abundant Life to yourself and others.
1. When you Look to God as Your Only Source of Wealth and Supply, what evokes your Gratitude?
2. What Intentions are you setting? What previous Intentions are manifesting now?
3. Is there anyone you want to Forgive or is there anyone from whom you wish to ask Forgiveness?
4. Where do you feel called to give or share your money? (Tithe) When (set a date)?
5. What do you feel you need to Surrender to the Love, Wisdom, Power of Christ within you?

“I Am a Living Expression of God’s Abundance; I Only Speak Prospering Words of Sufficiency”

Prosperity’s 3rd affirmation has its roots in Exodus 20:7, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain” .

In the context of prosperity I look to God as my only Source of wealth and supply, my All-Sufficiency. Therefore when I speak about prosperity, my needs or my desires, I do so with the idea that God’s abundant nature is my access to the resources which fulfill my needs and my desires. In fact John Randolf Price clearly describes God’s abundant nature in the 6th Principle of his 40 Day Prosperity Plan:

“My inner supply instantly and constantly takes on form and experience according to my needs and desires, and as the Principle of Supply in action, it is impossible for me to have any needs or unfulfilled desires “.

Today, let’s live the truth of God’s Name or Nature in the context of prosperity. Apply the 6th Principle of the 40 Day Prosperity Plan and Prosperity’s 3rd Affirmation; take time to contemplate and affirm, “I am an unique expression of God’s abundant nature. It is impossible for me to have any needs or unfulfilled desires. I express gratitude and sufficiency in my speaking and my actions”.

Let’s affirm the final 3 of the 5 GIFTS of Abundance, Forgiveness (love), Tithing (giving) and Surrender (trust). When we give ourselves these gifts through affirmation, we become identified with the energies of love, giving and trust. Paradoxically, as we radiate these energies into our surroundings, we become powerfully attractive to the people, circumstances and things that satisfy our most profound desires. Try on the following affirmations to get  your positive energies flowing:

Affirm Forgiveness: I am forgiving. I love when I am loved and I forgive whenever love is withheld in my experience.

Forgiveness is a mentally, emotionally and spiritually cleansing process. Our nature is to seek and be drawn to love. Forgiveness brings us back to a possibility of experiencing love when we have withdrawn it or it has been withdrawn from us.

Affirm Tithing: I enjoy giving and I give a portion of my Gifts from God to the people and organizations that bless and uplift humanity.

Tithing is defined in scripture as giving 10% of our material blessings to the channels for God’s work which uplift and inspire us. The spiritual principle is to be giving just as Life is giving. The nature of Life is to give and when we give freely we are attuned to the flow of Life.

Affirm Surrender: I surrender to the power, wisdom and love of God within me. Surrender usually connotes failure or resignation but in this context it is totally different. In this context we are surrendering to the indwelling Spirit within us which is our strength and access to Possibility. We are giving up trying to do everything ourselves and we trust God guide us and orchestrate circumstances to serve our highest good. We do our best and leave the rest up to God.

Affirm Gratitude: I am grateful for my life and I take whatever time I need to find something for which to be grateful in every circumstance. Gratitude is an attitude and state of mind. You can choose to be grateful in virtually any situation. Consider the similarities and distinctions among gratitude, appreciation and thanksgiving.

Affirm Intention: I am Intentional. I set and manifest intentions as a part of God’s promises to humanity. Intentionality is a powerful exercise of the will which does not require any stressful effort when approached from a spiritual perspective. Experiment with setting and manifesting intentions.

I am grateful that that each time I affirm Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation, I am reminded that regardless of outer appearances, I know that God is providing for my well being. I also realize that as I create visions and images of God’s blessings manifesting in my life and experience, I am practicing Prosperity’s 2nd Affirmation and I am being intentional.

Why not intend to find 5 things for which to be grateful today?
